Synopsis: Samantha (Sam), a college sophomore is trying to escape her horrible roommate. She find a decent apartment but desperately needs money so she accepts a one night (lunar eclipse!) babysitting job even though it feels odd.
Year/Country: 2009, USA
Subgenres: Satanic Ritual, Possession
Reason for watching: Chosen on whim on Netflix.
Highlights: Love how ’80s it felt. The creepy moments in the house were good.
Lowlights: The last half hour of the movie felt a little outta sync with the rest of the movie. Also continuity errors during the end were a little distracting.
Rewatchabilty: Rewatchable.
Overall review: From the moment the movie started it was apparent that it was made to look terribly and wonderfully ’80s and truly some part of me felt like I was swept back in time reading some Fear Street from my youth. The rest of the movie did not disappoint though it never got terrifying. A fun, nostalgic feeling movie.
